KIA 10 April, 1941 during a raid on Birmingham England, when he was shot down by a Hurricane of RAF No. 151 Sq., piloted by P/O R.P. Stevens (DFC). The AC crashed and burned south of Bicester, Oxfordshire, killing the entire crew. Remaining crew (KIA): FW Josef Berger, Observer; Uffz Erich Sadegor, R/O and Uffz Heinrich Schmid, Gunner. Added: the four deceased are buried in a collective at Cannock Chase, 9/2/8 (D.Drury).
